Anti-tamper LCD ICs

Austriamicrosystem’s AS8228 and AS8268 enable an integrated system on chop solution for lcd-based, single-phase meter applications that fulfils anti-tamper requirements for utilites . Meter implementations based on these ICs require minimal external components, which improves the reliablility, reduces the cost and ensures faster time-to-maker for the meters.
The ICs incorporate the required functional blocks for single-phase metering, including a precision energy measurement front-end, an 8-bit microcontroller, real-time clock, LCD driver and programmable multipurpose inputs/outputs.
The anti-tamper features are provided by the precision, two-current input analogue front-end and all the user confugurable digital signal processor (DSP).
