Chip-Cum-Security Tool
May 31st, 2009
Nevis Network has developed a chip that serves as a security tool as well. The chip, capable of working much faster than the pentium chip, can protect against laptop-born viruses and unauthorised confidential-data access, enforce business policies upon the network activity, and meet regulatory reporting and auditing requirements.
The LAN enforcer product sits on the network and when the laptop is plugged in, it first checks whether the plugged instrument is the latest update and confirms autorisation of the person using it. It can support up to 1000 users per box.
