According to ElliptiGO co-founder Bryan Pate–a former cyclist and Ironman triathlete who suffered hip and knee injuries–the eight-speed bike is meant to help runners avoid beating up their bodies through repeated impact. It’s designed to position riders “out of the saddle” and using their weight to generate torque with every stride. Cruising speed on the 18.1kg bike is about 24.1km/h, and on a flat road, a strong rider can exceed 40km/h, according to the company. The braking system consists of hand levers that actuate rim brakes on the front and rear wheels.

Mercedes-Benz showed off its new SLS AMG super car at the 2009 Frankfurt auto show, the company said it would also build an electric version of the SLS. We promptly ignored that claim as lip service to green pressure, and proceeded to drool over the truly stunning SLS AMG. But now Mercedes-Benz has released photos and specs for the SLS AMG E-Cell, teaching us not to dismiss Mercedes-Benz’s intentions as idle plans.
This vehicle uses the SLS AMG’s body and most of its original suspension, but replaces the 6.3-liter V-8 engine with four electric motors, one positioned near each wheel. Combined with a 400-volt lithium-ion battery pack producing 48 kilowatt hours, the SLS AMG E-Cell gets to 60mph (96.5kmh) in 4 seconds, just 0.3 second slower than the gasoline-powered version. The four electric motors and battery pack give this electric super car 526 horsepower and 649 pound-feet of torque, a little less than the 563 horsepower afforded by the gasoline engine. Unlike the SLS AMG, the SLS AMG E-Cell has all-wheel-drive due to the four electric motors, which could give it a cornering advantage. Mercedes-Benz has not mentioned the SLS AMG E-Cell’s range. The SLS AMG E-Cell keeps the ceramic brakes of its gasoline equivalent, but also gets regenerative braking. Further, liquid cooling and a heating element keep the battery pack at optimum temperature for long life. Mercedes-Benz has not announced plans to produce the SLS AMG E-Cell. The car serves as an early attempt by Mercedes-Benz’s performance division to show it can remain relevant in a post-fossil-fuel era.

The collaboration between the fashion designer DENIS SIMACHEV and the tuning expert TOPCAR has successfully created a limited edition of redesigned MINI cars which completely stand out from the crowd. To convert the MINI Cooper from a girl car and into a fierce ‘boyish’ one, TOPCAR has created a new aerodynamic body kit package called ‘Bully’. The car is so called MINI Cooper Bully. With the body kit, the Cooper front apron obtains a new daytime running lights and the sport aluminum grid radiator grille. The rear apron appears with a new diffuser, while the side comes with new side skirts and extended wheel arches. Other improvements include a new exhaust system, a new Brembo brake system and software engine setup, and also the specially designed forged wheels R18.
The masterly accomplished aerographic artworks for the every MINI Cooper Bully are created by DENIS SIMACHEV’s art team. Each of the Bully will get its own distinctive character in order to provide the wide range of choice for different cities, personalities and ways of living. The number of the redesigned MINI Cooper Bully to be built is limited only to 25 units and all will gain the number plate. However, the first two models #1 and #2 have been successfully produced by the time. The model #1 is the MINI Cooper Bully by SIMACHEV, which had marked The World Premiere at the ‘Top Marques Monaco’ event on 15 April, 2010. The #2 is the MINI Cooper Bully MOSCOW by SIMACHEV, whose color is like a chameleon, changing every time the light hits the surface.
