Flexible displays could eventually lead to information devices that look and feel like paper. Seiko has created a futuristic, curved digital watch, using technology introduced by LG Philips and E Ink. Rather than the time displaying on a flat screen, the seiko display is on the curvature of the bracelet.

Samsung has developed the world’s largest (64*48cm), full colour, flexible, TFT_LCD display. The display offers sufficently high resolution for digital television content. It uses a substrate of flexible plastic instead of glass. The transparent plastic subsrate is thinner, lighter and more durable than the LCD galss panels currenly in use. Moreover, the display maintains a constant thickness even wehn it is bent.
